In the wake of the murder of George Floyd last summer and the resulting unrest over racial injustice, organizations across the country made public commitments to support equity and combat racism. More than one year later, CommonHealth ACTION (CHA), a national nonprofit that works with organizations and individuals to support leadership development and growth, has reviewed those commitments and the progress that has been made toward making them a reality and has brought together this data to highlight the advances made in multiple sectors.

The National Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Commitment Update serves to identify organizations that have made public statements regarding EDI and racial justice and made commitments to combat systemic racism. The report also highlights new partnerships that were established between organizations intended to encourage equity within communities.

“Our goal for this report is to acknowledge and uplift the organizations that are doing an exceptional job implementing EDI within their own four walls and their greater communities at large,” said Natalie S. Burke, President and CEO of CommmonHealth ACTION. “We encourage other organizations to use the data in this report as an example of how they can take that first step in their EDI journey.”
