Maura Allard has nearly a decade of public health experience with a focus on social and racial justice and health equity.
An organizational development and effectiveness practitioner, Maura uses creative and progressive approaches in curriculum development; communications strategy; design, development, and implementation of policy and organization initiatives; and large group and professional development facilitation to create values-driven outcomes for sustainable change in government agencies, businesses, and community organizations. As an Assistant Program Manager, Maura provides support and guidance on a variety of projects. Prior to joining CommonHealth ACTION, she worked for the Boston Public Health Commission’s Center for Health Equity and Social Justice where she provided technical assistance to community-based leaders and organizations, developed racial justice professional development curricula, facilitated workshops, and co-led and developed a white affinity group. Maura holds a Master of Public Health from Tufts University in Boston and A Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Rhode Island. Maura is based in Boston.
